Individual *people* form meaningful ties of language, culture, history, family etc. to specific places. The idea that you can universalize this based on ethnicity alone, that there’s some kind of irreducible connection between people & place due solely to ethnicity is just astrology with a bodycount

Claiming that ‘indigenous’ status is in of itself at all morally consequential in how people should be treated is either just totally incoherent or just simple blood and soil. You’re saying that the correct archaeological finds would (at least partially) excuse anything if you believe it matters.
