any autonomy we as younger generations have is made into a blown-out-of-proportion problem and i feel like its probably because were breaking away from what would be considered traditional. its almost no different than them freaking out over their children exploring gender or preferences

im not surprised this is becoming a moral panic considering just how many older generations have fucked their children over for selfish reasons, are realizing it, and are now trying to deflect blame onto their children in a "woe is me" way for not wanting to facilitate a toxic connection any further
