Checking the power of the federal government means repealing the Canada Health Act and abolishing the equalization mandate. Federal taxes should be minimized and spent on necessary federal services, not provincial hand-outs used to twist arms and exert control.

The fact that more and more people need welfare to meet basic needs is nothing to celebrate. It’s an indictment of the status quo. We want to shrink the state to the point that ordinary people can afford their own basic needs — and have enough left over to help others.
