What a terrible loss. There is not a single thinker more influential for my entire cohort of political economists of money and finance. For so many of us, *the* rite of passage was Perry's online course on money and banking. And then his books. Devastating.

More than 10 years after his gruesome murder at the hands of the Egyptian security services, at least some #justiceforgiulioregeni. Although accountability for the perpetrators remains a far fetched dream still unfortunately. Still on this day I think of his family that never stopped fighting.
