Hey, so, survivor of CSAM (child sexual abuse material) here—and a global survivor advocate, including policy work! Fictional material is not illegal. That’s actually why deepfakes are such a big issue for survivors too. That said, actual art should *not* be made illegal. Why? (Con’t)
Show PostIf we call art, no matter how gross, CSAM, then it removes power from actual survivor-victims. That is *our* term. That is what we went through. Uncomfortable art, no matter the intent is *not* the same. No one was traumatized to make that image. It’s like how “triggered” was taken away from PTSD.
