I think that same thing about pretty much every industry that AI could replace. If that happens we’ll live through a massive knowledge drain and be paying a premium price for engineers, developers, and artists that actually know what they’re doing.

I'm not trying to persuade them because I do not have to. We are the majority. If we organize ourselves, we win. On the other hand, THEY need US. They can't win unless they interact with us: spreading FUD, planting/reinforcing wedge issues, & doing whatever they can to split & suppress our vote.

Yeah, for a long while I stayed clear of Bsky and ATProto because it seemed too centralised. But now it's not the case anymore and it feels really promising and much more robust.
