Show PostYes, some of our fungi are especially hardy, like the shelf fungi which persist for a very long time (though I imagine some of that is the equivalent of dead epidermis). A neat thing I recently learned is that mushroom "fairy circles" are caused by the mycelium growing & moving outward like a wave.
Show PostThat's logical as well. I've noticed other fungi in my area at different stages of development at the same time in the same place, notably the amanitas and russulas.
