Is this the safe space to say that I think Poe has one of the best character arcs in Star Wars? It is well-done, organic, and has a satisfying conclusion of taking him from martyred hero to wise leader - Leia's most daring pilot to her successor. I wish it got more appreciation!

Some praise for Rey's arc! The revelation she's Palpatines granddaughter works well for me, bc she wants to be a part of this story *so* badly, & when she gets a true connection to it, it's via the villain. Her story is about learning to love herself & choosing her own family, & that's so important.

new star wars is always a rush for me, but I also can't help but feel a little mellow each time - I'm glad we're at the edge of a sequels renaissance, but it has been a *long* two years of absolutely nothing new for that era, and I can't help but feel a little homesick for them
