So I turn this feature off whenever possible, as I don’t see the point of wasting electricity on such bot operations (as well as trying to protect my research’s integrity) 🤷‍♀️

I had been trying to find out whether a particular article cited only with its title and author had been published in one particular edited volume or not. The AI summary said it definitely was not in that volume, but I was almost sure it must be. And so it was, as opening the book later confirmed.

Before I learned how to turn off the automatic “AI summary” on top of an internet search, I sometimes saw obvious errors in there. Once I typed back in response, “This is obviously BS.” The bot replied: “Yes thank you, you are so right. Actually the opposite is true, and I found this….” I mean, WTF?
