Another weird thing about some of these older books is that they started as a series of short tales and were strung together later as a "novel". The first few chapters of this book are clearly short stories. Then suddenly we're in this very long chapter where the narrative slows down. Jarring.
Show PostIt's difficult to have this conversation. Typically, when a person disparages PC, they are coming from a right wing perspective where "I don't see color" or some dumb shit like that. What most call PC is really just people trying to fight against a homogeneous system where dominant groups gate-keep.
