@biotechpedro.bsky.social1/7 ❄️ Very happy to share our new study: “Cold activates a BH2 metabolic network promoting longevity and proteostasis.” nature.com/articles/s41... #Aging #Longevity #Proteostasis #Metabolism #ALS #HuntingtonsDisease
Show PostLove 🦤radEmu🦤? You'll love ☄️fastEmu☄️! Fantastic work by @steichman.bsky.social fastEmu replaces a computationally expensive piece of hypothesis testing in radEmu with a cheaper approximation. Especially beneficial for large datasets & complex designs! Software: statdivlab.github.io/fastEmu Enjoy!
Show PostWe've thought about including CellSweep! According to their lovely tutorial (cellsweep.readthedocs.io/en/latest/tu...) they actually already recommend removing doublets before using CellSweep so we figured they're aware of the potential impacts their tool has on doublet detection.

Show PostIf you’re working with Flex data, be careful when doing ambient RNA correction! It turns out that removing ambient RNA (in particular with decontX), and *then* doing doublet ID, can seriously reduce doublet detection performance ‼️
