There is a great deal of woodland nymph to this green 1930s Schiaparelli cloak, the texture of which appears to have moulded itself around the body like a mossy carapace. Where is she off to, hood shrouding her head and keeping the chill from her shoulders? @metmuseum.org #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

Poet and performer Navkirat Sodhi, Gupta's life partner, also walked the runway again this year. She wrote the poem that opens the show. Sodhi was part of Gupta's inspiration for the collection: hearing her labelled as only "his wife" made him question people's reliance on rigid binary structures.
