I loved this, its very bittersweet and lonely at the end there, and I like this view and interpretation of religion and god. Father made a lonely world for him, and then left him. how cruel.

A hill I'll die on: Illustrations in novels should come back. Adults like pictures, too! A few older books I have contain wonderful woodcuts or inked drawings. I think they enhance the experience. Not necessary, but classy.
