Call this an endorsement if you want. Speaking of the incumbents, the DSA councilors at least understand that the old system wasn’t working. The others have fought tooth and nail to maintain the status quo, frequently ignoring policy and economic research, and more importantly, constituents.

This election will be a referendum on DSA. Not only whether they are popular, but if they are popular enough to overcome MASSIVE spending by the center and right. Portlanders must reject reactionary centrism, use their eyes and ears, and look at what these councilors have fought for (i.e. Moda).

The Portland Metro Chamber and local conservative/centrist interests act like the left are going to run this city into the ground. As if PMC and centrists didn’t have control of this city for decades and aren’t greatly responsible for many things in this town being as fucked up as they are.
