So, I was recently asked about my beliefs, re: the criminal legal system while expert witnessing. I actually *do* believe we do need jail, particularly for abuses of power like this. Call me a criminal legal system minimalist.

I truly believe in trying to address the root causes of crime, including when we're talking about criminal punishment. The root cause of what this guy did is that he is greedy. He is corrupt. He should go to jail.

So yes, I believe in a carceral legal system to some extent, just one that spends its resources and time more severely punishing a different type of offender than what you see it do now, which is largely punishing the poor, the Black and the Brown, and women largely for those statuses.

Not only did I meet Robert Kraft, I worked for him. His kid Jonathan asked me to “remove the black music” from my gameday playlist in ‘94 & I refused so they fired me. I was the cheerleader director at the time.  I sued them for wrongful termination and won. So yes, I know that motherfucker.
