Show PostI think until recently, being happy to be a good coder and stay at Senior SWE/L5 was a comfortable career, but now you're cooked if you don't do some tech lead/architect/Staff/L6+ stuff. You might still be cooked in a couple years, but you're definitely already cooked if you only crank out code.
