Don’t use Touch ID or Face Recognition on your devices. They can force you to open them. Lock with a code. Set to erase when too many failed attempts. If that even applies anymore they then have to get a warrant. Or they can just claim you’re a terrorist and ”stop resisting” and nothing matters.

Honestly I would only travel with "burner" tech in case this happens. Right now because of a slow court system not designed for this kind of crisis there are a lot of individual cases that could take a long time to ameliorate. I would hedge your bets (from a kind stranger, not an expert)

I guess my main question is what does this mean for the rest of us, too. I'm a European working on right wing conspiracy culture with a long list of publications and travel a lot back and from. Should we see this as an isolated event, is this meant to instill fear? Help me make sense, kind strangers

The newly formed group, The Community Self-Defense Coalition, successfully identified two ICE operations this morning in Alhambra and San Fernando and were successful in stopping ICE agents from kidnapping and separating families. @lataco.bsky.social

Love the rando suggesting she call a pediatrician and maybe get a second opinion. It’s my understanding there divorce was done in Texas, a place where women and children are notoriously despised.
