And it's still not half as bad here as it is in places that give you financial/algo incentive to be as divisive and reactionary as possible. But *still*, I'll go the AP, or Wikipedia's Current Events portal, and be in the right HEADSPACE for it, instead of mixing it in with all of the fun stuff.

My muted words list is over a hundred entries long. I mute reposts and even entire accounts if they're too doomer-y. Not 'cause I don't care, but because social media - despite being the #1 source of news for most people in 2026 - is IMO the worst way we've ever come up with to *receive* news.

You got me thinking. Superman in a fighting game, right? Versus Batman, he holds back and most of his moves are straight locked. Versus, I dunno, freakin' Darkseid, regular moves hit harder and you *can* fire the eye lasers and such. Just something you brought to my mind.
