Really speaks to the impotence of Congress that the president thinks he can simply sign an executive order invalidating a law that Congress passed -- and he signed -- just a few months ago. At worst, SCOTUS might slap his hand months or years from now -- well after the damage has been done.

I do not doubt that Donald Trump was the type of inattentive, selfish parent who would fail to notice the absence of his child for 3 or 4 days, but I suspect that most voters won't relate.
