I don’t want to just repeat what others have said however as a former African Grey parrot owner I can attest to their formidable mental capabilities… not to mention their sense of humour and cruelty

Agreed! It must be so tough on them. What I wouldn’t give to know more about his background. He’s naughty but not aggressive, so I don’t think he was mistreated. He speaks at least a couple of languages, albeit he mostly tells himself off bilingually…

So sad, these birds are so close with their owners, it must be tough on him to be abandoned like that. I tell folks interested in a long lived critter that it is a long, maybe life long commitment and not to be taken lightly. Unfortunately there are many, like Tito's owner, who aren't up to it
