Something I see a lot of well-meaning artists do is get discouraged when they post their work here and don’t receive feedback. You have to be social on social media. Posting and running, without ever engaging with others and their craft will not give you the results you want. Art is about community.

This, but also people who like art need to be better about leaving nice comments. It blows my mind to see a piece with thousands of likes and hundreds of shares and like three comments. Leave nice comments! It feels good and makes an artist's day better.
