Furries literally have the fursona word to use but they still insist on being racist and appropriating the term spirit animal. Making fun of sacred Indigenous practices and ceremonies. Your “connection” to an animal doesn’t equal the honour of going through a ceremony to receive a spirit animal.

One thing I really miss that I used to do on my early twitter days was my Mi’kmaw word of the day. I liked doing the little videos of me trying to pronounce the words. But it got overwhelming when non natives started asking me about the history and origins of the words. I’m not a scholar.
