Of all the sailors who wandered into our small seaside store, the nearest to Port Giles deep-sea port & grain-handling facility in SA, my clear favourites were the Iranians - from the humblest deckhand to the captain they were courteous, respectful, civilised, friendly people. Very fond memories.
