Recently reviewed a pretty hefty paper for hi end journal. Amazing data but flawed analyses. Revision arrived. Should I be more disturbed that - it took the authors only 2 mo add a ton of new data & analyses, - the journal expects comments in 10 days, or - THE REBUTTAL ALONE RUNS TO 130 PAGES? 1/2

Gave a lecture on flowers this morning at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute to a big group of (mostly) retirees, and dare I say, it was one of the best groups of students I've ever had! They were so curious and engaging, ask a ton of great questions, and I had an amazing time because of that!
