truly a wild time to be alive when the cryptography world is split between those worried about quantum computers and those whose private key is “4”
Show PostAnnie was snuggling with me this morning, and she was so comfy she was passed out so hard, like, I could lift up her paw and gently let it go to drop and she would just not move, not even the normal tail twitches. I sadly had to properly wake her up so I could actually get out of bed,
Show Posti really think a certain subset of people have lost the ability to have complicated feelings. the movie has to be good or bad. they can't handle having an opinion beyond that so they all start repeating the same line. "exactly like other tom cruise movies so it is bad" even though that is nonsense.
Show PostThank you! Yes, in general participants who behaved non-randomly in the strategic tasks show many of the typical biases in randomization (e.g., over-alternation) and were thus well-captured by a normal model of random behavior.
Show PostTogether, these results suggest that human randomization ability is much stronger than previously acknowledged, as long as it’s tested in the right contexts! This is just one piece of a larger set of ideas we’ve been exploring recently on random behavior; more to come!
