I haven't seen anyone posting this but Ion in an interview said they DO intend to make Retail WoW look as good as the Forever client with the lighting/water/fog changes. I have talked about this time and time again and it blows my fucking brains out. They had a whole civil war over NOT using Fel. Fel was kept secret BECAUSE the leaders knew the population wouldn't like it. The FIRST quest you do in the starting zone is "Hey I think these crystals are bad actually".

I know everyone wants to do a fel-crazy seductive or superpowered blood elf but like that's Not what they're about! It's what they've NOT been about since the third quest of the starting zone! It boggles my mind. Then Midnight was announced & I watched the cognitive dissonance explode in real time.

"I want classic+" "I want WoW2" the problem is you. Go level in Midnight entirely on a ground mount. Go read every bit of dialogue on every quest before you even mount up. Actually take the time to stop & look at flora/fauna/architecture. Retail is just as immersive if you respect it. 1/4
