As soon as I have any reason to. Even if I haven’t announced it yet, it’s a good place to start building a fan base and getting people in on development. Honest word of mouth from a friend is worth more than anything. I post consistent dev blogs and private builds for people to play test.

Maybe when there’s demand, you need to think about moderation. I’ve seen game devs get hundreds of likes on Twitter but barely any interaction on their Discord. I’d say it also depends on the genre. Stardew Valley is a perfect example, since people are often looking for answers. just yap sry
