I wish that committees were more transparent about their processes. I applied for a fellowship this year that claimed to be open to early career scholars’ proposals. I ultimately did not get it, which is not necessarily surprising in the current ecosystem, but only TT faculty were successful.

The busiest time on Calgary’s 5 St SW cycle track seems to be between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM. Every light I stopped at, which was all of them BTW 😂, there was at least 4 other riders in queue. Calgary is a bicycling city. #yycBike #Calgary
