Anyone can block anyone else they want, and they don’t have to give you a reason. You might just not be to her taste. Continued tagging, or saying hello to people who aren’t responding to you can seem like you are badgering them. Maybe don’t seem as though you are begging for a follow?

Soc - I can only (& I'd only want to) speak in general terms. Some people really hate suggestions whom they might be interested in following, what to read, etc. However good the lead, & however deferentially proposed. People have their reasons. Don't fret over it. Just unfollow? Not life & death.
