Your regular reminder on tax thresholds that most people are paying less equivalent tax than they did in 2010 because of the increased personal allowance. Only people paying more are people over £60k in salary which is about the top 15% of the country.

I think it's very, very important to not drag people like Laura for engaging in genuine introspection. Accepting that you were wrong and being open about that is to be celebrated, regardless of who is doing it. Applauding people for changing their minds encourages others to do the same.
