I know peeps from broken homes found escapism & identity through fantastical media, anime, & cartoons. It spoke to me in a way people who failed us could not. I realized young that visual language was easier for me to communicate than any other form. Generational trauma sucks. Found family is great♥️

anniversary soon of boarding plane alone at 18yo after my sister chickened out, then not speaking to anyone I knew ever again (incl her 🤷♂️) having feelings lol. the last family member I stayed in contact w tried to traffick me. Ppl actively sabotaged my escape but I won. It's worth celebrating 🎉
