Trying to sched an est tax payment at 'Illinois Department of Revenue'. (For 15 Sep 26) The 'mytax' web site, which I usually use, is down. Tried diff browsers. Tried 5G network. Turned off VPN. 'ping' from terminal window fails. Nope. This hasn't happened in years of using this IL facility. Damn!

Ah; I looked up the street and found the red brick house halfway down the block and wondered. Thanks for the response! (Loving the travel portion; sad to see I missed the Roanoker by a couple years.)

@raymondbenson.bsky.social sir! I’m reading THE HOOK AND THE EYE and the places are all so specific that I’ve been looking them up as I go. Is this Felix Leiter’s childhood home on Goodwin?
