"Cozy horror" is whatever the fuck you want it to be. I have put on The Human Centipede to fall asleep at night. I think French Extreme horror is peak Christmas vibes while I wrap gifts and bake cookies. It's all horror. Who cares?

it is weird being a "cozy" author when my own metric for "cozy" is so incredibly skewed toward work that is incredibly uncomfortable and bittersweet like Devilman Crybaby is a comfort show for me becuz there are cathartic "hopeful" moments in what is overall a very bleak and gut-wrenching story
