I think what really adds to the problem is seasons not having endings. I really enjoyed Pluribus but the experience is very much "I read six chapters of this book. I'll pick up chapter seven in 2028"

That said, longer term I'd like to see standardization on: - Simple, general-purpose off-the-shelf sync engine and storage. (Equivalent of SQLite or Postgres) - Identity and authentication (I've been doing Tailscale and passkeys)

Good Q! IMO we not be at the point for standardization. Patterns and frameworks get extracted from common practices after doing a similar thing dozens or hundreds of times. With capabilities changing so fast I've found it useful to go bespoke on every new personal app and see what works.
