It just boggles my mind that these guys insist we were founded as a Christian country, but refuse to acknowledge that a specific history of Christian oppression of other Christians shaped our Constitutional protections for religious liberty, for freedom of conscience. But they don't. It's dangerous.

Key to this exchange is that El-Sayed drew out the Constitutional question, and exposed that Tommy refuses to "disavow any attempt to read religious doctrine into the laws of our country." Tommy seems to be a Christian nationalist. These guys don't care that *Christians* disagree on key points....
