Deleting my original thread on this bc it's an outright misquote from RNZ which is to corrected - the pledge is for 1st reading within 100 days, not pass it. Still poor policy imo - other regulatory options they're mooting are much better - but not the rush to idiocy RNZ's misquote suggested.

#NZpol The total 'no response' of National and their current coalition partners isn’t great. TPM, too. TBF, it could be that they don’t know what to say or do, that isn’t great either. Labour’s 'somewhat's at least mean they’re thinking about the issue, but I’d need explanations of each.
