I don’t get why the dismissal - it seems like it’s a fairly sensible approach towards fairly hostile words from a much more powerful neighbour.. what are we supposed to do here

Either we have the political will and power to impose existing laws that already suffice to devastate MAGA, & pass constitutionally sound new ones that rip up the power of their elites more generally--in which case we can win w/o lawless retribution--or we don't & retribution isn't an option anyway.

Trump, Hegseth, and Miller (and possibly Vance and Rubio too) committed capital offenses in broad daylight w/ the boat murders. No ex post facto needed. Elon is LWOP material just on the basis of what we publicly know. And that's barely the start of potential criminal liability for MAGA officials.
