In his day the US state apparatus hadn’t been captured by a criminal gang aligned with the Russian mafia. Now it has. I think we all live in hope of a regime change; let’s see what the mid-terms bring in the first instance. But until that day comes, we must try to avoid stumbling into a war.

Er valt een hele relaas te geven hoe Rusland in de jaren negentig en erna tegen de NAVO-uitbreiding aankeek. Natuurlijk stonden ze er niet om te springen, maar de data en opinieonderzoeken ondersteunen de claim niet, dat de spanningen het gevolg van de NAVO-uitbreiding waren.
