I think you are missing the point admirably. People change fast when bombs fall. But not they way you assume. Whatever the case, I hope we will not find out who is right, and that this ill founded authoritarian adventure will implode together with the remnants of the Russian economy.

That powerful pro-Nazi movement in France in 1940 was the German Army. He was appointed French PM on 17.6.1940, that is a month after the French lines were broken and two weeks after the last British troops had left Dunkirk Not exactly "after one drake attack"

And for France, Chamberlain's Munich acolyte, Daladier. Arrested in Morocco where he intended to keep on fighting, he was repatriated to France, sentenced by a Vichy kangaroo court and imprisoned. Nazi Germany took custody of him in 1942. He was freed by the US Army a few days before VE-Day.
