I used to take public transit in Ottawa all the time (lived here 12 years without a car), and then I didn't for years, and lately I have had to again on occasion and boy, it was bad before but it is so much worse now. Ludicrous. At least in the old days when all else failed you could get on the 95.

Great video from @shifter.info. Unfortunately for #Ottawa, the backbone of the bike network is by the @ncc-ccn.gc.ca and disappears in the winter. City routes like Hemlock also disappear. Especially true for those of us who have to cross the Greenbelt. youtu.be/bFXgIGue26U?...
