We talk a lot about how we miss out on the fun, silly, fluff episodes ever since the switch to 6 episode seasons every 2 years happened, but what we really miss are the big swing episodes that actually have something to say.

A series needs time to build trust with its audience before it can do something amazing and weird and so far off of the norm, and shows just don't have the ability to do that anymore. I hate this laser focus on the main storyline, even when I enjoy a show's main storyline.
