This is a really interesting analysis and well done. It also backs up my priors, which are "winning faceoffs is sometimes situationally important, but the skill has a marginal impact when considered in the aggregate."

Great breakdown of faceoffs and their true value by someone who does more than watches games, but studies them too!

JP has done some great work in using the lb-hockey.com data to rank team skater groups in various ways. Highly recommend for devils and non-devils fans alike!
