Well done. Every news outlet should run a piece like this. By my age, you will have lost someone to cancer. Or cardiovascular disease. Or another disease NIH funding combats. You will wish you had more time with them. That’s what NIH funding does. Buys us time with the people we love. #FundNIH.

I’m pleased to share that I’ve been promoted to Associate Professor with tenure. Lots of feelings that words can’t really do much to unpack, but to quote a probably obscure song I’m fond of: “I love you all, and thank you.” (The next line is “I can’t do this alone,” which is accurate.)
