The US desperately needs a democratic socialist party to at least push those in in power but the DSA just doesn't seem able to be it. I thought about joining multiple times but always they did something or someone involved told me something that lead me to feel like it wasn't safe or wise. :(

Good lord what is wrong with the DSA? Like there's so much to like about them and then they start making statements congratulating Maduro for rigging and election, which even leftist leaders elsewhere in Latin America (except Cuba) have emphatically condemned, or apologizing for Putin.
