Godflesh | Decay I was lucky enough to see them in the 90’s. This album transports me back to that time, but not in a cheesy nostalgic way. Godflesh are the masters of industrial metal. It’s fucking righteous to hear them still killing it. #metalsky #nowspinning godflesh.bandcamp.com/album/decay

Carcass | Choice Cuts A compilation from back when everyone thought Carcass was done. Tons of legendary tracks on this album; and as we all thankfully know - they weren’t done. Have to say, I’m partial to the Symphonies and Necroticism-era stuff. #metalsky #nowspinning m.youtube.com/watch?v=E_Vf...

Russian Circles | Guidance You know what you’re getting with this band, you just don’t know how you’re gonna get it. Always captivating, ranging from serene to punishingly heavy - and the ratio varies. Another Kurt Ballou production. #metalsky #nowspinning russiancircles.bandcamp.com/album/guidance

Omen | Nightmares Very good trad/power metal. Big vocals & sweet riffs. It’s from 1987 - back when Metal Blade still listed their Telex number on the back of albums. That cracks me up thinking about Brian Slagel reading text messages off a scroll. #metalsky #nowspinning m.youtube.com/watch?v=jOR8...

Beneath the Flesh | Reborn into Carnage My former band played many times with these guys. Solid death metal band and fun dudes. We used to play a place that was 70’s pizza parlor by day and death metal venue by night. Miss those days and bands. #metalsky #deathmetal m.youtube.com/watch?v=p-Vo...
