My dumbass one is Halo: The Fall of Reach, & Ghosts of Onyx. In hindsight, they're both extremely ambivalent & muddled politically, but reading a book about how the government is bad at making war & special forces are no better than the terrorists they fight during the GWoT pushed some buttons.
