And it's not even a nice tree. It's a total garbage tree AND I would be willing to get rid of it if he had offered to PAY FOR the removal. But no, instead he acted like a complete psycho & ruined our relationship permanently & was caught in the act, because I was HOME when he tried to do it.

Oh you don't have to tell me, but you absolutely can if you want. I had a neighbor in the suburbs come into my unfenced yard & cut all the branches off one side of a tree because "he was tired of the leaves." The tree pre-dated his buying the house...
