Dissociative Identity Disorder To explain: You have 1 body. You have 1 mind. Someone with DID has 1 body, & multiple minds It's like there's a team of people piloting a mech You may be the only person in your mech, but we have a team that's ready to swap out as needed We are happy as a system.

Dissociative Identity Disorder can't be cured; the main treatment is talk therapy. Aside from wanting to combat the stigma, the main reason I've decided to be open about this on social media, is because I know this is the only step forward for long-term happiness and success.

I am fully dropping out of trying to build any kind of bridge with the clinical establishment and lived experience. Like any marginalized group, when plurals say this hurts the establishment says we are mean. We need to say it different. We need to say it softer. We need to shut up.
