I think this is true and it's bad that this is the most widespread use case being pushed, not for people who are skilled at something being able to enhance what they do, but for people with no experience in something to become an expert instantly, the user type least able to detect when it's wrong

I don't really think the problem is a guy feeling like practicing music is a waste of time. A lot of people feel that way, I certainly felt that way about practicing piano as a teen. People value different things. The problem is just assuming everyone agrees with you about what's a waste of time
