At least you can turn it off. Yes, I think most of these kinds of things are now algorithmed to be aimed at individual users. It's hard to know, but I assume it doesn't work on that level, either. Given that tailoring, numbering them as if the list were like the Billboard Hot 100 amounts to a lie.
